Our client in the Manufacturing sector is seeking to employ a Storeman to join their team. Please note that this is a fixed-term contract.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receive, store, and issue materials, tools, and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular inventory checks.
  • Ensure proper labelling, identification, and storage of materials.
  • Load and offload materials safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare stock requisitions and update stock cards or ERP system.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized store area.
  • Report shortages, damaged stock, or discrepancies to management.
  • Adhere to all safety and housekeeping standards within the workshop and store areas.

Experience & Qualification
  • National Senior Certificate (Matric).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Storeman in a Metal or Engineering environment.
  • Forklift licence
  • Stacking and Storage Course/Certification
  • 25 tons Overhead Crane Licence – advantageous
  • Knowledge of tools, fittings, and materials used in engineering and fabrication.
  • Computer literate (MS Excel, stock control systems).
  • Must be a local candidate.
