Job Overview:

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Broiler / Layer Supervisor to oversee daily poultry house operations. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal flock health, growth, and production performance while maintaining biosecurity, hygiene, and accurate record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage daily activities in broiler and/or layer houses.
  • Monitor bird health, feed intake, water consumption, and mortality.
  • Ensure correct feed rations and manage feed deliveries.
  • Maintain biosecurity and hygiene standards across all poultry units.
  • Record and report daily production data (feed, mortality, egg counts, weights, etc.).
  • Supervise staff and ensure proper work allocation and performance.
  • Monitor ventilation, temperature, and lighting in poultry houses.
  • Assist with vaccination, culling, and general flock management programs.
  • Coordinate with management regarding production targets and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare and safety regulations.
  • Carry out and oversee maintenance and repairs within the cages and poultry houses.
  • Pick up and drop off farm employees as required (company vehicle provided).

Please note: Responsibilities are not limited to the above and may include other related duties as required by management.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 16:00
  • Every second weekend: Saturday & Sunday 07:00 – 12:00

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in poultry (broiler or layer) production.
  • Strong knowledge of biosecurity and poultry health management.
  • Basic technical or maintenance skills (advantageous).
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to lead and manage a small team.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Physically fit and willing to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays as required.
