About the Role

JM Legacy Investigations is seeking a meticulous and professional Contents Assessor / Multiskilled Investigator to join our team in KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing contents claims and supporting broader investigative tasks across multiple claim types. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality reports within strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities


• Investigate contents claims, including verification of ownership, valuation, and loss circumstances.


• Conduct pre-investigation checks (social media, financial status, previous insurance history).


• Interview insured parties, witnesses, and other relevant individuals with professionalism and accuracy.


• Visit scenes when required, document security features, and capture detailed photographic evidence.


• Collect and validate supporting documents such as quotes, valuation certificates, and proof of ownership.


• Prepare clear, factual, and comprehensive reports within specified turnaround times.


• Ensure compliance with JM Legacy Investigations' Standard Operating Procedures and client service standards.

Requirements


• Prior experience in insurance investigations, ideally with exposure to contents claims.


• Basic knowledge of policy wording, underwriting principles, and fraud indicators.


• Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.


• Excellent communication and report-writing skills (English – South Africa).


• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within KwaZulu-Natal.

Advantageous Skills


• Experience in motor, theft, and multi-line investigations.


• Familiarity with ITC/MIOF checks, NATIS, and social media analysis.
