About the Role:

We're looking for a sharp, creative Video Editor to join our fast-paced Social Media & Marketing team. This is a remote, full-time role for someone based in South Africa who can consistently work U.S. Pacific Time hours.

You'll primarily be working on short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts), with occasional mid- to long-form editing projects. You'll also gain access to AI editing tools to assist in your workflow—so familiarity with or a willingness to learn tools like OpusClip, CapCut, and Descript is essential.

This is a dedicated full-time position. Candidates must not have any other job or side gig. We are only considering applicants who can treat this as their primary, full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit compelling short-form videos (15s–90s) from raw footage
  • Occasionally edit mid- to long-form video content for YouTube or presentations
  • Repurpose mid-form edits into 3+ strong, platform-optimized short clips
  • Use provided AI tools to enhance and accelerate short-form workflows
  • Maintain high standards of visual quality, brand alignment, and storytelling
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on content priorities and deadlines
  • Stay current with trends, pacing, and social-first editing strategies

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in video editing (portfolio or showreel required)
  • Fluency with editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
  • Excellent sense of pacing, transitions, storytelling, and sound design
  • English MUST be your first language — our content often covers advanced topics that require complete comprehension and nuance
  • High-speed internet and power backup
  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be available for the full shift: 4 PM – 12 AM SAST, with no other employment

This shift follows U.S. Pacific Time and will adjust slightly during daylight savings.Bonus if You Have:

  • Experience working with AI-powered tools like OpusClip, CapCut, or Descript
  • Edited GIS-based videos or data/mapping visualizations
  • Experience in real estate, commercial property, or investor-focused content
  • Familiarity with U.S. platform trends and engagement styles
  • Eye for viral hooks, retention pacing, and repurposing content for maximum impact

Hiring Process:

  • Test Task – You'll be asked to:
  • Edit a mid-length video
  • Report how long it took
  • Create three short-form clips from that edit
