Technician Job Description:

The following is needed when looking for a possible candidate:

  • Age range- 25 to 35 years of age
  • English and Afrikaans speaking
  • Sober habits
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have own transport (vehicle)
  • Must have a valid RSA Passport
  • Must be willing to travel for work, locally and internationally, our technicians travel for services trips on a biannual basis to the following countries (Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Lesotho and Swaziland, Namibia) – excluding call outs/ breakdowns and local services.
  • Must have knowledge and experience working on mechanical and electrical components of machinery
  • Qualifications will be advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience in the field will be advantageous but not essential
  • In house Training will be given on the laboratory equipment
  • Remuneration monthly – To Be Discussed
  • Position available from start date

Our companies work in both the milling and cement industry,

Under both companies the job description remains the same.

Technical and sales.

Candidate must have good communication skills, communicate with clients during services and assist with selling on laboratory equipment.

The candidate will be required to have a basic knowledge on both electrical and mechanical components, where they will be working on/ repairing and servicing/ maintaining laboratory equipment according to the relevant standards.

The candidate will be required to travel to a client's premises in South Africa and cross border to do annual and biannual servicing of the laboratory equipment. (With a company vehicle or fly)

Traveling also for breakdowns, callouts and or repairs at a client's premises.

Fault Finding and Repairs will be done out our premises within our workshop, and at a clients premises when needed.
