Junior Content Executive

We are looking for a talented Junior Content Executive (German – Medical Focus) to join the team in South Africa.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to one year of experience who's looking to start their career in medical content creation.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing high-quality German-language content tailored for the healthcare and life sciences industries. Collaborating with Accounts, Content, and SEO teams, you will develop engaging, accurate, and impactful content that aligns with client objectives and scientific precision. Your day-to-day tasks will include content creation, proofreading, research, and optimising content for visibility in German-speaking markets.

With a background in a relevant scientific field and fluency in German, you'll bring your expertise to craft compelling content that bridges medical knowledge and audience engagement. What will you be doing?

As a Junior Content Executive (German – Medical Focus), you will play a key role in supporting content initiatives and collaborating across teams. Your responsibilities will include:

• Content Creation & Editing:
   Produce high-quality German-language content, including medical blogs, scientific articles, and web copy.
• Research:
   Conduct thorough research on healthcare and life sciences topics to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
• SEO Optimisation:
   Apply SEO best practices to improve content visibility in German-speaking markets.
• Collaborative Campaign Development:
   Work closely with the Content, SEO, and Accounts teams to deliver cohesive campaigns.
• Content Strategy:
   Support the design and execution of content strategies aligned with organisational goals and client expectations.

What experience do you need?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific field such as biomedicine, life sciences, pharmacy, medicine or related field.
• Fluency in German (reading, writing, and editing) is mandatory.
• Experience in writing or editing medical/scientific content — this could be from university projects, internships, freelance work, or personal writing samples (a portfolio is a plus but not mandatory).
• Interest in learning SEO best practices and content management systems (training will be provided).
• Strong research skills and the ability to communicate complex medical concepts clearly.
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
• Passion for creating impactful medical content and engaging with a diverse audience.
