Gerduan Kemp Productions is expanding and we're looking for passionate, talented people to join our team. This is an incredible opportunity to work on large-scale music videos and commercials for leading South African and international brands.

FULL-TIME VIDEO EDITOR & PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

This isn't just an editing job, you'll be part of the full creative journey From planning and filming to the final cut, you'll help bring each project to life

Requirements:

  • Based in Pretoria (Office in Pretoria East)

  • Proficient in DaVinci Resolve

  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English

  • Strong sense of musicality and rhythm

  • Work in office from 8:00 to 17:00 on weekdays (With willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends)

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • An understanding of the Afrikaans pop music industry will be considered highly beneficial

-Willingness to work as production assistant on set

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit high-quality music videos, commercials, social media content, and other branded video material.

  • Handle the full post-production process including cutting, grading, sound syncing, basic audio mixing, and exporting in required formats.

  • Assist on set during filming (camera support, lighting setups, gear handling, etc.).

  • Organize and manage project files, media, and backups.

  • Ensure smooth workflow between pre-production, filming, and post-production.

  • Contribute creative input during brainstorming and editing sessions.

  • Manage delivery deadlines and maintain quality standards.

  • Assist with setting up shoots, gear preparation, and packing.

  • Help coordinate schedules, call sheets, and logistics for productions.

  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues with editing software and gear.
