Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision & Coordination
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workshop technicians, mechanics, and other staff.
  • Allocate work based on priorities, skills, and available resources.
  • Monitor progress of ongoing jobs and ensure timely completion.
  • Technical Oversight
  • Inspect work to ensure it meets technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide hands-on support and technical guidance to the team when required.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical or technical problems.
  • Planning & Scheduling
  • Plan daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance or production schedules.
  • Coordinate with procurement and stores for availability of parts, materials, and tools.
  • Maintain job cards, maintenance logs, and workshop reports.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe working conditions at all times.
  • Report and investigate incidents or near misses promptly.
  • Quality & Performance Management
  • Implement and uphold quality control processes within the workshop.
  • Evaluate employee performance and recommend training or corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Administration
  • Prepare and submit job reports, time sheets, and maintenance records.
  • Support management in budgeting, inventory control, and procurement planning.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other departments as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Automotive / Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a workshop or maintenance environment, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and repair procedures.
  • Experience with workshop management systems (WMS) or ERP software is an asset.

  • Based primarily in a workshop or industrial facility environment.
  • May require occasional overtime, weekend work, or site visits.
  • Use of PPE and adherence to safety standards is mandatory.
