The position involves creating efficient manufacturing schedules, ensuring materials, equipment, and staff are ready to meet demand while minimizing costs and waste, by coordinating with sales, procurement, and production teams, managing inventory (MRP), analyzing forecasts, and resolving bottlenecks to optimize workflow from raw materials to finished goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling & Planning: Develop and manage production plans and schedules, prioritizing orders to meet deadlines.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor raw material and finished goods stock levels, forecasting needs to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Coordination: Liaise with Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, and Production teams.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze production efficiency, identify issues, and implement improvements (e.g., cost, time, quality).
  • Resource Management: Ensure optimal use of staff, equipment, and materials.
  • Data & Systems: Use MRP/ERP systems for planning, tracking, and data accuracy.
  • Reporting: Provide production status updates to management.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Preference is a degree in business or a related field, or relevant technical qualifications.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Problem-Solving: Skill in resolving production issues and bottlenecks.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Technical: Proficiency with planning software (ERP/MRP systems).
  • Experience: Industry knowledge and experience in supply chain/manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
