We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you'll be hands-on with the numbers—processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the preparation of insightful financial reports that drive business decisions. You'll collaborate closely with experienced accountants, gaining exposure to the full finance function while sharpening your analytical skills.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, receipts, and sales invoices into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including issuing invoices, processing payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
Maintain and update the general ledger by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to management based on findings
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations, and assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as needed
Reconciliation and analysis of inventory GL on a monthly basis
Undertake special projects and perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Finance or CFO

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance role
Strong understanding of IFRS
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills

Qualification:
Bachelor's degree/National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
SAICA articles beneficial
