Role Overview

The Test Engineer will be responsible for functional and data validation testing within the Sapiens insurance platform implementation. The role requires solid understanding of insurance processes, system configuration, data flows, and the ability to validate data at both application and database levels to ensure accurate and reliable business reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end functional testing of Sapiens Coresuite modules (Policy/Schemes, Claims, Billing, Reinsurance).
  • Understand business requirements and validate them against system configuration and behaviour.
  • Analyse data flows between Sapiens Coresuite modules and integrated systems (CRM, Finance, Reinsurance, Sapiens Intelligence, Power BI, etc.).
  • Perform backend SQL database validation to verify data accuracy, transformations, and reporting outputs.
  • Validate business reports, dashboards, and extracts generated across the Sapiens ecosystem.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps).
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Implementation Consultants to resolve functional and data issues.
  • Prepare test strategies, test cases, test data, and regression packs for continuous improvement cycles.
  • Support UAT and assist business users during acceptance testing.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of software testing experience in the insurance or financial domain.
  • Hands-on experience with Sapiens Coresuite (PolicyPro, ClaimsPro, BillingPro, or ReinsurancePro) preferred.
  • Strong SQL skills for data validation and report verification.
  • Understanding of the Group Risk Insurance lifecycle:
  • Underwriting & Risk Assessment, Pricing & Quoting, Policy Issuance & Onboarding, Billing & Premium Collection, Claims, Reinsurance, Renewals, and Reporting.
  • Experience in functional, integration, regression, and data reconciliation testing.
  • Proficiency with test management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail in data validation.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

  • Group Risk Insurance experience (Death, Funeral, Disability, Critical Illness, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Sapiens Data & Analytics, BI, or reporting tools (Power BI, SSRS, etc.).
  • Experience in automation testing (Selenium, Tosca, UFT) for insurance platforms.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
