Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fibre Optic Senior Technician based in the City of Johannesburg. The role involves the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of fibre optic networks. Day-to-day responsibilities include splicing, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal network performance. The technician will also manage projects, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and provide technical guidance to junior team members to meet service and quality standards. An emphasis on accuracy and problem-solving is expected within this senior role.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Fibre Optic Splicing, Testing, and Maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with Installation, Project Management, and Network Troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Safety Practices, Equipment Handling, and Compliance Standards
  • Strong teamwork, communication skills, and leadership capabilities
  • Prior experience in working on telecom infrastructure projects is preferred
  • Relevant certifications in Fibre Optic Technology are a strong advantage
  • Availability for on-site work and a commitment to ensuring quality services
