Carpenter/Joiner

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter/Joiner to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing a variety of high-quality furniture products, ranging from custom, one-off pieces to large-scale production runs. The ideal candidate will have experience with both traditional woodworking techniques and modern machinery, as well as the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

A key requirement of this role is the ability to accurately prepare and work out quotations for materials, labour, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and finish furniture pieces based on design plans and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines safely and effectively.
• Inspect and ensure each piece meets quality standards before final assembly.
• Keep the workspace clean, organised, and safe at all times.
• Prepare accurate material and labour quotations when required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a carpenter, joiner, or cabinet maker in a furniture production environment.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and furniture construction.
• Confident operating machinery such as saws, planers, sanders, and other woodworking equipment.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality craftsmanship

The Salary is negotiable depending on experience and the ability to assist with quotations

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: R35,00 - R70,00 per hour
