Job Description

KWV a renowned South African brand and industry leader in the production of world-class wines, and other spirits has a permanent vacancy for a Picker, based in Paarl, Western Cape.

Reporting to: Team Leader- Finished GoodsDepartment: Supply ChainDivision: Operations

Purpose:

To ensure that all stock movements within Supply Chain are done accurately, on time and in full. The incumbent is responsible for operating a forklift in order to move, locate, relocate, stack and pick materials for production, picking and loading requirements. The incumbent needs to ensure that the forklift is operated in a safe manner at all times and in line with Company policy and procedures.

Job Summary:

Accurate picking and loading of products to plan and instructionsManage Forklift machine as per company policy Meet all requirements within set timeframesConsistently comply with workplace standards and practices Consistently attain performance goals as set out and agreed upon quarterly Implement good housekeeping and safety practicesSuggest improvements and implement new ideas to improve effectiveness Ad hoc projectsAvailability to work overtime, as required from time to time

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12Minimum 1-2 years related experience in logisticsWorking knowledge of MS Office (SAP Knowledge an added advantage)Valid Forklift license

Skills Required:

Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at various levelsAssist with general work around the warehouse and office when requiredAssist Stock Controller with stock takingAbide by safety rules and regulationsAbility to perform effectively under pressureCustomer and goal orientated Problem solving and initiative skills
