Its flagship Maths Tutoring Centre, equipped with modern resources like laptops and advanced teaching software, is located in East London, South Africa, and offers structured support for learners from Grade 8 to 12, addressing critical educational needs.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maths Tutor located in the East London, South Africa Metropolitan Area. The Maths Tutor will work closely with learners from Grade 8 to 12, providing individualized and group tutoring to ensure mastery of mathematical concepts. Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, guiding students in problem-solving across topics including algebra, monitoring progress, and fostering a supportive learning environment. The Maths Tutor will also be involved in utilizing the resources and technology available at the Maths Tutoring Centre to enhance student learning.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Mathematics, including strong knowledge in areas such as Algebra.
  • Experience in Tutoring and Online Tutoring
  • Strong Communication skills and ability to build rapport with learners.
  • Passion for education and supporting student growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in a S.T.E.M field, Mathematics Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role or working with high school students is a plus
  • Familiarity with technology-enhanced teaching tools.
  • PGCE qualification is welcome and an added advantage.
