Join a growing finance team as a Junior Accountant. Support daily accounting operations and monthly financial reporting. This role is responsible for accurate transaction processing, bank reconciliations, VAT preparation, and month-end journals, ensuring compliance with SARS requirements. You will assist with management accounts, audits, and financial analysis while supporting process improvements within the finance function. Capture and process daily financial transactions accurately
Perform bank reconciliations and clear outstanding items timeously
Maintain and reconcile supplier and customer accounts
Process invoices, credit notes, payments, and receipts
Prepare VAT workings and submissions in line with SARS requirements
Ensure VAT records are accurate, complete, and compliant
Assist with audits and resolve VAT-related queries
Prepare and process monthly journals
Maintain general ledger accuracy and perform month-end reconciliations
Assist with month-end close and meeting reporting deadlines
Prepare monthly management accounts, supporting schedules, and variance analyses
Analyse financial data and assist with budgeting and forecasting
Provide administrative and ad-hoc support to the finance team

Skills & Experience:
Newly qualified PA(SA)
SAIPA articles
Solid understanding of accounting principles and VAT
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
Fast learner with a proactive attitude

Qualification:
Relevant Accounting Degree
SAIPA qualification

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
