Backstage Technician

Responsibilities:

- Set up and maintain all technical equipment and props for performances and events onboard a cruise ship

- Assist performers and production team with any technical needs during rehearsals and shows

- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during performances

- Ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained

- Assist with the load-in and load-out of equipment and props at each port of call

- Collaborate with other technicians and crew members to ensure the success of each production

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times

- Attend all safety and technical trainings as required

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Backstage Technician in a live performance or event setting

- Strong knowledge of technical equipment, including lighting, sound, and rigging

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

- Ability to work well as part of a team

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Must be physically able to lift and move heavy equipment

- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures

- Experience working on a cruise ship is a plus
