Global Business Intelligence Architect

Ricoh Europe is currently looking for a talented Business Intelligence Architect based in South Africa to join our global team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and supporting innovative BI solutions that help improve data sharing and reporting across the Ricoh Family Group worldwide.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and collaborative global function, supporting data-driven decision-making through the use of cutting-edge technologies including Microsoft Power BI, Power Platform, MS Fabric, SQL, Python, and SharePoint.

What you will be doing

• Designing and developing backend SQL solutions (ETL/SSIS) to support global Power BI reporting
• Creating front-end Power Apps and interfaces to enable business users to input and maintain data
• Supporting global stakeholders with reliable data tools for operational, tactical, and strategic reporting
• Enhancing the Ricoh data infrastructure and working with platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake
• Collaborating with AWS teams on new data sources and solution architectures
• Ensuring appropriate data security, governance, and GDPR compliance
• Driving continuous improvement by developing global KPIs and improving data quality processes
• Documenting technical processes and producing clear, actionable BI documentation for internal use
• Engaging with global technical teams and business stakeholders to align data solutions with strategic goals

You will ideally have

• Strong experience with SQL Server development, data warehousing, and ETL processes
• Proven experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
• Background in building business-facing tools to support reporting and dashboard requirements
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and continuous improvement
• Comfortable working across global teams and time zones
• Proactive approach to data governance and secure data handling practices
• Experience with ServiceNow reporting
• Exposure to Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric
• Familiarity with Python and data modelling techniques
• Experience with machine learning or advanced analytics is a plus
