About the Program:

Mlima Group is excited to launch the
EDGE Work Readiness Program
, a 6-month structured internship designed to equip young professionals with the skills, experience, and confidence to thrive in business development and IT consulting. The program combines
3 months of training
with
3 months of hands-on work experience
, providing mentorship and real-world exposure.

Roles You'll Be Exposed To:

  • Business Development
  • Marketing & Social Media
  • Project Coordination
  • Business Analysis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend all training sessions and workshops
  • Participate actively in group activities
  • Complete assignments and assessments on time
  • Demonstrate professionalism and strong work ethic
  • Communicate effectively with mentors, peers, and clients
  • Learn and apply Mlima's sales strategies and business processes
  • Take initiative and show enthusiasm for learning

Requirements:

  • Matric certificate or higher qualification
  • Based in Cape Town (hybrid availability)
  • Laptop and reliable WiFi access
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Energetic, positive, and eager to learn

Key Responsibilities


• Analyse and interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making


• Structure, model, and prepare data for use in databases and analytics tools


• Identify patterns, trends, and service optimisation opportunities


• Document system and business processes, conceptual models, and findings clearly


• Work with product and service leadership, developers and stakeholders to define requirements

and recommend solutions


• Assist in root cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations


• Support system testing, validation, and performance monitoring

Required Skills & Experience


• Junior development skills (preferably Python, SQL, or JavaScript-based frameworks)


• Proven ability to work with and analyse structured and unstructured data


• Experience in data preparation for database use (normalisation, schema design etc.)


• Strong organisational and documentation skills


• Ability to think critically and communicate complex ideas clearly


• High attention to detail and ability to work independently


• Desirable (Advantageous)


• Exposure to mobile and web-based DevOps environments


• Experience with GIS platforms or spatial data


• Familiarity with device-level analytics and sensor data


• Understanding of APIs and system integration
