Experience:
5 to 7 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, and related technologies in a senior or specialist capacity.
Role Purpose:
To serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in End User Computing and Microsoft 365, with a strong focus on Intune and the full M365 suite. This role provides technical leadership, handles complex escalations, supports junior staff development, and leads the design, implementation, and management of modern Digital Workplace solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead 3rd and 4th line support for End User Workspace platforms.
• Resolve complex technical issues and mentor junior engineers.
• Drive implementation, optimisation, and documentation of EUW and M365 services.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including Microsoft, clients, and vendors.
• Ensure governance, security, compliance, and service excellence.
• Stay up to date with new technologies and maintain expert-level technical skills.
Required Skills & Experience:
Microsoft Intune – Expert-level knowledge including:
• Autopilot
• Patching
• Configuration Profiles
• Security Baselines
• Application Protection Policies
• MDM (Mobile Device Management) & MAM (Mobile Application Management) setups
• Proactive Remediations
• Application deployments
• Windows, IOS, Android, MacOS and Linux
Microsoft 365 Suite – Expert-level knowledge of the full suite, including but not limited to:
• Entra (Azure AD)
• Exchange Online
• Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance
• SharePoint Online
• Microsoft Teams
• OneDrive for Business
• Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
Additional Technical Requirements:
• Recognised M365 certifications (e.g. Security Admin, Identity Admin, Teams Voice Engineer, Enterprise Admin).
• Deep experience with Azure, automation tools, and tenant-level configuration.
• Strong experience in a large, complex environment (public or private sector).
• Proven track record with SLA-bound support, incident resolution, problem management, and service delivery.
• Experienced in upskilling others and knowledge sharing within the team.
Desirable/Advantageous Skills:
• Active Directory (AD) and Windows Server experience
• Background working with or supporting critical national infrastructure or 24/7 environments
