Job Purpose

The Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for leading pre-sales technical engagements with key customers, designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, and ensuring successful delivery and migration of public cloud projects. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, including Sales, R&D, and Operations, to support continuous service improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-sales technical communication with key clients, identifying and understanding business opportunities and challenges.
  • Conduct requirement analysis, solution design, and proof-of-concept (POC) validation for Huawei Cloud projects.
  • Provide professional technical advice and customised cloud solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive cloud architecture solutions for traditional IT and cloud transformation projects.
  • Oversee the migration, deployment, and delivery of public cloud products and services.
  • Ensure timely delivery and quality execution of key customer projects.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales (BD), R&D, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to ensure ongoing operational excellence.
  • Support continuous improvement and competitiveness of Huawei Cloud products by providing market- and region-specific insights.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends and emerging cloud technologies.
  • Understand customer pain points and IT evolution requirements to drive innovative cloud solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as
    AWS Certified Solutions Architect
    ,
    Microsoft Azure Architect
    , or
    Google Cloud Certified Architect
    will be an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum
    2–6 years' experience
    in public cloud architecture, pre-sales engineering, or cloud solution delivery.
  • Proven experience in
    solution design
    ,
    migration
    , and
    implementation
    within public or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud providers such as
    AWS
    ,
    Azure
    ,
    Google Cloud
    , or
    Huawei Cloud
    .

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of
    public and private cloud architectures
    , principles, and services.
  • Experience with
    virtualization technologies
    (VMware, Hyper-V, Oracle VM) and
    cloud platforms
    (OpenStack, hybrid/multi-cloud management).
  • Familiarity with
    programming or scripting fundamentals
    and
    system integration
    .
  • Knowledge of
    cloud migration methodologies
    and full project life-cycle management.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Additional Information

  • This role requires proactive engagement with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of Huawei Cloud solutions.
  • Occasional travel may be required based on project needs
