Job Overview

We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to assist with basic tax preparation and general administrative work. This role is ideal for someone with solid admin experience who has also worked with tax documents or accounting support. You'll be part of a professional finance team, helping ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax-related information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and filing individual and business tax returns under supervision
  • Organize and maintain tax documents and financial records
  • Input data into accounting/tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
  • Communicate with clients to collect necessary tax information and answer basic queries
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness before submission
  • Handle general admin duties, including filing, scheduling, and document management
  • Support accountants during busy tax season with reporting and reconciliations
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in an administrative or accounting support role
  • Basic knowledge of tax forms, procedures, and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and cloud-based tools
  • Good communication and time management
  • Previous experience in a tax office or working with US clients is an advantage
Preferred Skills (Not Essential)
  • Familiarity with US tax concepts (1040, W-2, 1099, etc.)
  • Experience using tax software (e.g., Drake, TaxSlayer, or similar)
  • Comfortable working remotely in EST Time zones and manage multiple deadlines
