Job Title: Preschool Teacher (Ages 3–5)

Job Summary:

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children aged 3 to 5 years. This role involves planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons, supervising daily routines, and ensuring the well-being and development of each child under care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and collect children at the gate each morning.
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks in accordance with school guidelines.
  • Supervise and assist with cleaning up after meals and activities.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that support early learning and development.
  • Supervise and guide children during indoor and outdoor playtime to ensure safety and positive social interaction.
  • Prepare children for nap time and ensure a calm, restful environment.
  • Assist children in getting ready for collection at the end of the day.
  • Conduct lesson preparation and maintain classroom organization and resources.
  • Complete and update children's workbooks and other educational materials.
  • Evaluate student progress, prepare developmental reports, and write termly comments.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, colleagues, and management.
  • Uphold school policies, safety procedures, and hygiene standards at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant Early Childhood Education qualification or equivalent.
  • Valid SACE registration number.
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow school routines effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R7 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
