Role Description

We are looking for a full-time Junior BI Developer to join our team on-site in the City of Cape Town. The Junior BI Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining data models, creating dashboards, working on data warehousing, and performing Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and analyze data to support business decision-making processes.

Duties

· Update and refresh excel reports on SharePoint.

· Monitor and attend to Helpdesk Calls

· Daily and Monthly checks on data updates and accuracy

· Write SQL scripts, Views/Procedures to be utilized in Pivot or PowerPivot reports

· Design, build and deploy reports and dashboards using SSRS or Microsoft Power BI.

· Train team members throughout the organization on reports and Microsoft applications, i.e. SharePoint, Power BI, etc · Data collections, transformations and maintain for various types of business reports.

· Tend to ad hoc report queries

· Improve scripts and/or report

Qualifications

· Grade 12 or matric equivalent

· A Bsc/Btech Degree in IT/ Computer Science and /or equivalent

· Proficiency in SQL Database and the ability to query data and solve complex problems

· Advanced knowledge and experience with Pivots and PowerPivots

· Familiarity with BI technologies (Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), DAX)

· Knowledge of most Microsoft 365 products i.e. Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel etc

· Knowledge of Microsoft Data tools; SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
