Laboratory / NIR Specialist

Minimum requirements: 

Minimum requirements:

• BSC Degree / Masters in Biometrics, Statistics, Biochemistry/Chemistry
• NIR Calibration training / experience will be an advantage
• Laboratory and/or NIR experience will be an advantage
• Knowledge of the Animal Feed industry will also be an advantage

Key performance areas:

• Create new profiles and products and change product names and codes
• Export spectra and import wet chem results
• Assist with NIR troubleshooting (hardware and other issues)
• Proivde support to external NIR clients
• Direct interaction with national and international NIR suppliers and experts
• Manage NIR-based projects
• Assist with setting up of external calibrations and collaboration
• Ensure safe gathering and storing of data for calibration purposes
• Advise on calibration performance, validations and NIR management
• Interact/visit current clients and potential clients to market NIR products
• Promote new calibration products
• Compile, review and update SOPs, methods and work instructions
• Provide training on NIR related documents/hardware
• Adhere to all safety standards in the lab
