Role Summary:
As a founding member of our new AI team, you will be at the heart of our mission. You will architect and build the AI core of our next-generation products. This isn't about fine-tuning existing models; it's about designing and deploying complex, multi-step agentic workflows that will define the future of our company. You will leverage cutting-edge LLMs and NLP to solve some of the most challenging problems in healthcare data, directly impacting the efficiency and well-being of medical specialists.
What You'll Be Building (The Core Challenge):
● Design & Build AI Agents:
Architect and implement agentic AI systems that can reason, plan, and execute complex tasks like autonomous medical billing, intelligent patient scheduling, and automated clinical note analysis and summaries.
● Master a Multi-LLM Strategy:
Pioneer our NLP strategy by selecting, integrating, and fine-tuning the best models for each task. You'll leverage the unique strengths of different foundation models like OpenAI's GPT-4, the large context handling of Anthropic's Claude, or the multi-modal capabilities of Google's Gemini to build custom solutions.
● End-to-End Ownership:
Lead the entire ML lifecycle—from initial R&D and data strategy to building robust, scalable deployment pipelines (MLOps) on our cloud infrastructure.
● Shape the AI Vision:
Collaborate directly with the founders, product managers, and clinical experts to define the AI roadmap and contribute to the core architecture of software's future.
● Champion AI Excellence:
Stay at the absolute forefront of AI (LLMs, Agentic Frameworks, RAG systems) and drive the adoption of new technologies that give us a competitive edge, while ensuring the highest standards of ethics, privacy, and security.
Required Skills & Experience (The Essentials):
● A portfolio of ML projects you have successfully built and deployed, demonstrating significant impact.
● Practical experience with NLP and/or Large Language Models (LLMs), including fine-tuning, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and embedding strategies.
● Proven ability to write production-quality code
● A strong foundation in machine learning principles and best practices.
● Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; you know how to break down ambiguous, complex problems into actionable steps.
Preferred Qualifications (What Makes You Stand Out):
● Experience building with agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) or developing similar multi-step reasoning systems.
● Hands-on experience with major LLM APIs and ecosystems (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Cohere) and a deep understanding of their unique strengths, weaknesses, and prompt engineering nuances.
● Experience with MLOps practices and tools for CI/CD, model monitoring, and automated retraining.
● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for ML model deployment.
● Familiarity with the healthcare domain, especially medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT), is not required but would be a plus
