Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the credit control function across all allocated branches.
  • Ensure timely and accurate collection of outstanding monies to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Export age analysis and prepare regular reports on overdue debtors.
  • Monitor debtors age analysis, identify overdue accounts and take proactive steps to minimise risk and exposure.
  • Collaborate closely with branch managers and sales teams to resolve disputes/queries and payment delays.
  • Ensure all customer accounts are accurately maintained and reflects up-to-date information.
  • Capture and allocate customer payments promptly and accurately, ensuring all receipts are correctly reflected on customer accounts.
  • Send customer statements and invoices and follow up to confirm receipt thereof.
  • Perform account reconciliations.
  • Follow month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in credit control processes, ensuring compliance with company credit policies.
  • Escalate high risk accounts and recommend appropriate action.
  • Prepare and submit regular credit control reports to management.
  • Checking and Processing of Credit Notes and Customer Refunds
  • Report all safety deviations in area of work, identify and report potential hazards in area of work
  • Ensure that all incidents are reported to your manager as soon as it occurs but no later than the end of the shift/day
  • Promote and follow company policies and procedures
  • Always maintain appropriate discipline
  • Carry out all reasonable instructions given to you
  • Do not bring the company into disrepute
  • Carry out any other general reasonable duty assigned to you

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 Certificate and Credit Management Diploma/Certificate required.
  • Proven experience as Regional Credit Controller or similar role.
  • Experience in the formwork environment (advantageous).
  • Knowledge of credit control principles, debt collection techniques and customer account reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with data protection, accounts receivable accounting and debtor aging analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and credit control/debt collection management.
  • Expertise in reporting, analysis, negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Strong time management, accurate data entry, attention to detail and professional communication.
  • Persistent, diplomatic, accountable, proactive, organised and able to work independently or in teams.
  • Composed under pressure, ethical, customer-oriented, deadline-driven, result-focused and a problem solver.
