We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Field Guide to join our lodge team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the natural environment, strong guiding expertise, and the ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences through interpretive game drives and guided bush walks. This role requires leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to conservation and hospitality excellence. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct engaging game drives and guided bush walks, providing guests with informative, safe, and memorable wildlife experiences.Share expert knowledge of local ecosystems, flora, fauna, birdlife, and conservation practices.Ensure guest safety and comfort at all times during activities.Contribute to environmental management efforts, including habitat monitoring and sustainable lodge practices.Assist with lodge hosting duties, ensuring warm and professional guest interactions.Mentor and support junior guides, contributing to skills development and knowledge transfer.Maintain all guiding equipment and vehicles in excellent working condition.Uphold the lodge's standards of professionalism, guest satisfaction, and conservation ethics. Requirements Requirements Minimum of 3–5 years' guiding experience in a Big Five game reserve environment.Valid driver's license and Professional Driver's Permit (PrDP).Recognised Nature Site Guide qualification (NQF4 or higher).Advanced knowledge of local wildlife, ecology, and conservation practices.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse guest groups.High level of physical fitness and stamina for bush activities.First Aid certification
