Overview:
Unlimited Events Group (UEG) is looking for a
creative, hands-on Event Stylist & Mood Board Designer
to support our events team. We need someone with a strong eye for design and practical event experience who can translate concepts into real, on-site-ready styling and décor solutions.
This role suits a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well under pressure, and can deliver high-quality results within tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop styling concepts and mood boards aligned to client briefs
- Design and source décor, furniture, florals, and styling elements for events
- Translate ideas into practical, executable event setups
- Assist with floor layouts, mock-ups, and on-site installations
- Work closely with operations and client service teams to deliver events to a high standard
- Support admin, sourcing, and supplier coordination as needed
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or suitable equivalent
- A degree or equivalent in marketing, interior decorating, fashion, design, events, and or hospitality industry
- Minimum 3 years' experience in event styling, décor, or related creative industry
- Strong portfolio demonstrating mood boards and event styling work
- Excellent visual composition and attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Comfortable working evenings/weekends when required
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite / Canva
- Strong communication skills
- Driver's licence and own reliable transport

To be considered, candidates will need to submit their ideal mood board for a corporate cocktail function complete with furniture, décor and an 'Insta-worthy' photo wall. The mood board must be 2 pages (or 2 Powerpoint slides) only. The pdf is to be no bigger than 2MB.
