Warehouse/Storekeeper

The Warehouse/Storekeeper is responsible for maintaining high standards of stock accuracy and ensuring timely completion of goods receiving, picking, packing and dispatching. This role ensures that parts and accessories dispatched are in good condition, match the correct paperwork and that accurate records are maintained to guarantee that customer deliveries are executed correctly the first time.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Efficiently pick, pack and dispatch AFRIT parts and accessories, adhering to deadlines and customer requirements.
• Provide professional and ethical interaction with customers during the delivery process.
• Perform daily cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
• Conduct daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning bins, racks, aisles and equipment.
• Check warehouse equipment weekly for wear and tear (e.g., cranes, lifts).
• Manage the clearing and binning of received goods daily.
• Oversee the active management of SCT's pick and packing processes.
• Review non-moving stock monthly and report findings to  Manager.
• Ensure goods are received and dispatched from designated areas.
• Ensure timely picking of parts for customers and internal deliveries in accordance with agreed schedules.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal, JV, re-sellers, and external customers.
• Maintain effective communication regarding order status within the P&A team and with all relevant stakeholders.
• Implement strategies to enhance warehouse productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Regularly review and optimize warehouse layout to improve picking and packing efficiency.
• Maintain healthy inventory control practices.
• Restrict warehouse access to authorized personnel only.
• Lead stock takes at allocated locations.
• Ensure the facility is secure and suitable for storing parts and accessories.
• Follow appropriate processes for handling returns and scrapping damaged parts.
• Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines in warehouse.
• Maintain clean warehouse and professional working environment.

Relevant Qualification (beneficial)

Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehousing position.
