MASTER JOB PROFILE a. Key accountability 1. Duties of the Assembly Technician 1.1 Cylinder Manufacture 1.1.1 Cutting of rods to specification and de-burring ready for machining. 1.1.2 Cutting of profile material to specification. 1.1.3 Checking of machined parts prior to assembly. 1.1.4 De-Burring, cleaning, polishing/burnishing of machined parts prior to assembly. 1.1.5 Checking of components required for production order. 1.1.6 Assembly of cylinders according to correct procedures, drawings, and specifications, including the fitting of mountings or other special components when required. 1.1.7 Testing of completed units according to stipulated procedures. 1.1.8 Cleaning, labeling, wrapping, and despatch of cylinders to stores. 1.1.9 Maintain and keep tools and equipment used, including special machinery in good order and report faults to Supervisor. 1.2 Valve Terminal Assembly and Customer Solutions Assemblies 1.2.1 Checking components to production order 1.2.2 Assemble according to correct procedures and specifications 1.2.3 Testing according to stipulated procedures 1.2.4 Labelling and packaging 1.2.5 Housekeeping of work area 1.2.6 Maintenance of equipment and tools 1.3 Component repairs 1.3.1 Checking of items for replacement parts required 1.3.2 Refurbishing repaired items to satisfactory working state 1.3.3 Testing of repaired items 1.3.4 Cataloguing and tracking of repair items Job Profile Name Assembly Technician Direct Manager Q Sonnenberger Area Exco Member N Zwane 2 | P a g e 1.4 Perform any other production-related tasks as and when required 1.5 Uphold good house-keeping principles, always keeping workplace neat and tidy 2.
