Our client in the hospitality sector, based in Grahamstown, seeks to employ an Assistant General Manager. This is a live-in position.

**Duties**:

- Ensuring operational efficiencies throughout product.
- Drive and sustain superior levels of guest service and guest satisfaction.
- Play a strong role in contributing to the direction and culture of the organisation.
- Training, mentoring, and monitoring of middle management, especially (but not only) lodge and villa managers.
- Play a key role in interacting with guests regularly and ensure that all aspects of a guests’ stay are being catered to, and that pertinent information is transferred to the relevant department heads timeously.
- Contribute to the creation, implementation and monitoring of budgets throughout the hospitality product.
- Communicate courageously, frequently and respectfully with all members of the team.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in a senior management role within a luxury safari operation for more than 3 years.
- Any relevant hospitality qualifications will be advantageous.
- Highly computer literate.
- Excellent English in verbal and written format.
- Experience in HR management and stock control management
- Ability to contribute to and analyse financial information
