As a Credit Manager, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks aimed at safeguarding the bank's financial health and maintaining a robust credit policy. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- ** Credit Assessments**: Conducting thorough credit assessments of individuals and businesses to evaluate their creditworthiness and determine suitable lending terms and conditions.
- ** Risk Management**: Assessing the credit risk of the existing portfolio to ensure it aligns with the bank's credit policy, procedures, and frameworks. Implementing effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks.
- ** Credit Policy Adherence**: Ensuring strict adherence to the bank's credit policy, guidelines, and regulatory requirements while making credit decisions.
- ** Individual Credit Mandate**: Demonstrating the exercise of an individual credit mandate to independently make credit decisions within specified limits, displaying a sound understanding of risk and credit principles.
- ** Client Relationship Management**: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective credit management and address any credit-related queries.
- ** Credit Review and Monitoring**: Regularly reviewing credit limits and monitoring credit exposures to ensure the overall health of the credit portfolio.
- ** Reporting and Documentation**: Preparing comprehensive credit reports and documentation for management and regulatory purposes.
- ** Team Collaboration**: Collaborating with the credit and risk management team to enhance credit processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

**Requirements**: To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Postgraduate Advantageous.
- Proven experience as a Credit Manager/Snr Analyst or in a similar credit assessment role within the banking or financial industry.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills to evaluate credit risk effectively.
- Knowledge of credit policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to make independent credit decisions within the set mandate, displaying a high level of judgment and prudence.
- Thorough understanding of risk management principles and credit risk mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in using credit analysis software and tools.
