Plan, schedule, direct and execute production activities.

Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

Determining manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand.

Evaluating purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.

Estimating the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.

Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize production delays.

Coordinating production workflow/operations by the material, labor, and equipment availability for one or multiple products

Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.

Ensure quality assurance throughout the production process

Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.

Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management on time.

Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.

Compiling material planning sheets for all job cards

Opening and Closing jobs

Monitor Planned vs Actual Costs

Provide Weekly WIP List

Capturing Artisan Daily Report and hrs

Providing Weekly Artisan Recoveries report

Loading BOM Kits on SAP

Loading item new prices on SAP

Following up on purchase order placements in respect of new orders

Following up on purchase order receipts in respect of outstanding orders

Following up with suppliers

Updating production schedules for procurement based on ordered and received items

Interacting with individuals or groups within the organization with whom information is received or supplied.

Adhering to ISO 9001 quality management system

**Support the Senior Production Manager by**:
Attending all administrative related functions

Compiling and maintaining accurate records

Developing and maintaining filing systems - both hard and electronic copies

Ensuring that all documentation/records are filed and updated

**Qualifications**:
Matric

Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous

Supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred.

Experience

Proven experience working as a Production Planner.

Strong SAP knowledge and experience

**Skills**:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication skills.

Competencies
