**Overall Responsibility**:
As a Logistics Network Optimization Planner, you will play a critical role in designing and enhancing the efficiency of the supply chain and logistics networks. This includes the analyses of existing logistics networks, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing and distribution costs.

You will achieve these objectives through the use of advanced modelling techniques and data analysis, while working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement these optimization strategies and plans that enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve overall performance.

This role will involve designing, building, and maintaining logístical models, as well as interpreting data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvement.

**Focus Area 1** **:Model Development**:
Design, develop, and implement models and simulations to represent various aspects of logistics operations, including transportation, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.

**Focus Area 2 **:Data Analysis**:
Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization. Utilise statistical techniques and data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively.

**Focus Area 3**:Optimisation and Continuous Improvement**:
**Focus Area 4**:Collaboration**:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, operations, procurement, and IT, to understand business requirements and develop solutions that align with organizational goals.

**Focus Area 5**: Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement metrics to track the success of implemented strategies.

**Requirements of the Role Qualification**:
Bachelor's or Honours in Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Industrial Engineering

Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry, preferably in a modelling or analytics role.

Familiarity with database management

Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.Model development, Data analysis

**Preferred Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in logistics modelling and analysis.
- Experience with simulation software and optimisation tools.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles, including transportation, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
