Diesal Mechanic

The Technician’s primary mission is to ensure that all vehicles are operating efficiently and are well maintained in accordance with

company standards

**RESOURCES**
- Maintenance schedule
- Maintenance vehicle, tool’s and stock
- Workshop
- Maintenance Manager / General Manager
- Must have own set of Tools

**PERFORMANCE CRITERIA**
- Ensuring that all vehicles are operating efficiently
- Ensuring that maintenance standards are in accordance with company standards

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Service, Repair and diagnostics of vehicles
- Ensuring that scheduled daily and monthly maintenance is done on vehicles
- Overall care and maintenance of company assets
- Pro-active planning of repairs and services of vehicles
- Starting jobs and finishing jobs on Technician Desk

**QUALIFICATIONS / BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum Grade 12 / N2, preferably N3 or higher technical qualification
- Minimum five years general maintenance experience essential
- Trade Test / National Qualification preferred
- Code 8 Driver’s license
- Service, Repair and diagnostics knowledge / experience for all vehicles and commercial vehicles (New and Old)
- Experience in Yellow Equipment

- Sound verbal, written and telephonic communication skills in English
- Technical aptitude
- Energetic and flexible disposition
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
- Ability and willingness to work irregular and extended hours
- Precise and accurate nature, as well as attention to detail
- Deadline orientated
- Computer Literate

**Salary**: R20 - 22 000 CTC per month
