Our client, a transport and logistics company, is looking for a **Diesel Technician** to join their team in the **Johannesburg** area.
**Overall Role Function**:
The Diesel Technician will be responsible primarily for inspecting and fixing larger trucks and equipment that operate on diesel fuel.
**Duties include but are not limited to**:
- Travelling to various Clients for the repair and maintenance of Vehicles.
- Problem solving as required.
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding on vehicles
- Afterhours standby (shift work).
- Attending to breakdowns as and when required
- Scheduled and unscheduled service of vehicles
- Planning/Coordinating servicing and repairs
- Completion of job cards
- Managing of stock and stock take
- Meticulous execution of instructions given
- Good communication skills
- May be required to travel occasionally within South Africa
**Qualifications**
- Matric or equivalent
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic Trade Test
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
**Experience**
- Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance and repairs of mobile, truck and refrigerated transport vehicles preferred.
- Non-refrigerated transport vehicles and truck experience will also be considered.
- Strong electrical/electronic experience and background.
- Prepared to work shifts and including weekends.
- Willingness to attend to callouts after hours and on weekends.

- Able to work well with a team and under pressure.
- Must be diligent and time competent to meet deadlines.
- Must be customer service focused.
- Must be honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Mechanical proficiency.
- Open to occasional travel within South Africa
- Have passion for their work and can deliver quality results
Location: Linbro Park, Johannesburg.
Salary Range: R40 000-R60 000
Starting date: As soon as possible.
