**The Challenge**

Reporting to the Ops Manager - as the Warehouse Controller you will manage all HNC warehousing functions relating to people management, operating systems, housekeeping, adequate storage, labeling, inventory control and distribution.

Oversee the entire HNC warehousing process (4 warehouses) such as receiving, storing and dispatching of materials to both internal and external customers with the assistance of the Warehouse Supervisors and Assistants.

Mmanage all DSM inventory outsourced to Rudlin Logistics external warehouse.

Manage the bulk premix, packing material and finished goods inventory at Technikon Laboratories / Wraps including the storage and dispatching of micronutrients finished goods.

**The Position**

The key responsibilities in this position will be:
**Ensure that the following duties are attended to, by effective management of direct reports**:

**Receiving of raw materials**
- Ensure raw material are available for HNC premix manufacturing
- Ensure what is supplied matches related purchase order
- Ensure all raw materials are accompanied by the relevant documentation
- Ensure materials are transferred to bulk warehouse or production warehouse to supply HNC premix production
- Store incoming materials, and capture locations (lot numbers) on Excel based warehouse management system
- Ensure that Excel based warehouse management system is in sync with SAP system
- Administer bar coding system labeling at goods receipt

**Imported materials**
- Oversee safe offloading of containers
- Check delivery against delivery documents
- Check quantities against Purchase Order - and receive directly on SAP system
- Store incoming materials, and capture locations (lot numbers) on Excel based warehouse management system
- **Receiving of daily consumable items**

**Customer returns**
- Check and receipt customer returns. Capture return and block returned material on SAP system
- Notify appropriate persons and Quality Assurance when returned goods arrive, so they can decide on DSM actions
- Ensure returned material is stored in accordance with quality procedures

**Picking and dispatch of Finished Goods orders**
- Ensure delivery notes are generated
- Check required dates, and draw up a dispatch schedule
- Ensure goods are picked, and checked against orders
- Attach relevant certificate of analysis documentation
- Dispatch via third party carrier, and manage the timing issues around deliveries
- Confirm transactions on SAP
- Check daily against third-party carrier manifest
- Ensure weights and dimensions and special packaging have been supplied for export orders

**Market Ready Solutions**
- In conjunction with the supply chain department manage all incoming and outgoing material to and from toll manufacturers and off-site storage facilities.
- Correct management of all Market Ready Solutions inventory and stock movements on SAP
- Ensure picking and preparing of all movements of materials between warehouses and toll manufacturers are actioned

**Inventory control**
- Ensure physical vs. book inventories are balanced on SAP. Investigate and rectify all discrepancies physically and systematically.
- Plan and conduct annual stock counts, and reconcile actual and book inventories
- Ensure cycle counts are performed daily by comparing actual counts with Excel based warehouse management system
- Ensure damaged, redundant and or obsolete materials are managed accordingly in SAP system.
- Ensure write offs are actioned as and when required.

**Manage the disposal of waste product, and domestic waste**
- Manage in accordance with the contracts and third parties
- Liaise with appropriate persons in supply chain and finance departments to arrange write-off of waste inventory

**Ensure premix production has sufficient raw materials for daily production**
- Check shortage list with supply chain department in accordance with production plan and schedule
- Monitor stock levels in all warehouses and plan material requirements that need to be supplied to production.
- Systematic update on SAP of all transfers
- Replenish fast moving items in store on a regular basis

**Manage Standard Operating Procedures for Warehouse**
- Set up operating procedures for all warehouses in conjunction with operational management as a team
- Re-evaluate SOPs on a cyclical basis, and upgrade where applicable
- Ensure relevant SOP training is conducted

- Ensure adequate supply of raw materials is on hand, or expedited, by ongoing liaison with Supply Chain and HNC premix production departments.
