Barista

An exciting opportunity exists for a Barista to join the team at meCafe which is opening in Lansdowne. We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea.

**Responsibilities**:

- Educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences,
- Up-selling special items and taking orders.

**Requirements**:

- To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills
- Previous experience working in a cafe or coffee environment (Food and beverage preparation),
- Basic understanding of working on a coffee machine
- Familiarity with point-of-sale software (POS or GAAP)
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods

100-hour Off Site Barista training will be provided before working on the machines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R27.00 - R30.00 per hour

- Lansdowne, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
