**Job Summary**: Our client is crucial in the development and management of renewable energy projects in South Africa, collaborating closely with a private fund that owns and invests in these schemes. Both producing and storing renewable energy, they provide effective solutions and services to the fund, including optimal maintenance, technical advisory for due diligence processes. Already owning nearly R80million in assets, recent additional investment will enable this portfolio to triple in size. As such, they are experiencing a high volume in projects, with a large pipeline underway.
Reporting directly to the investment managers they are looking for an Electrical Engineer who has gained knowledge of a wide variety of renewable sources, who will both manage the current portfolio day to day and assist in the due diligence process of new initiatives and partnerships. Acting as a consultant between on the ground service teams and the owners, you will be expected to manage:
- Oversee the EPC Contractors on site
- Advise on new acquisitions
- Provide technical solutions to day-to-day problems
- Report on portfolio performance
- Produce detailed budget for maintenance and upgrade projects
- Manage external O&M teams
- Providing recommendation on plant optimization
- Monitor plant performance
- Strategizing alongside EXCO members
