Maintenance Team Leader

We are recruiting for an experienced maintenance specialist to take on a Maintenance Team Leader role for a leading company within the manufacturing and aviation space. You will be responsible for evaluating, performing, and managing the overall maintenance across the production facilities; maintaining all assets on a planned and emergency basis to a ensure the highest standards of product quality and service are met.

You will meet the following **requirements**:

- Matric
- Post Matric qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering or Trade Certificate
- Experience working within the aviation / manufacturing / sheet metal industry
- At least 5+ years relevant experience in maintenance / machine repairs, service and installation
- At least 3 years in a supervisory capacity, overseeing a small team
- Passion for Mechanical & Electrical vocations, with a proven track record
- Computer literacy
- Demonstrated experience in arc welding and general steel manufacturing
- Own transport - ability to travel between different sites in JHB South and JHB East
- Electrical knowledge
- Working knowledge of CNC machinery

**Key responsibilities** will include but not be limited to:

- Optimize maintenance costs during corrective and preventive maintenance activities
- Manage and implement activities required to achieve preventive maintenance for all manufacturing / production equipment.
- Installation of electrical and pneumatic hardware
- Light maintenance of small and large machinery (CNC router, press brake, compressors, etc.)
- Scheduling of regular maintenance tasks
- General welding/manufacturing of steel structures
- Location: JHB South, Gauteng
- Duration: Permanent
