Technical Buyer

Reporting to the **Technical Manager**, you will be responsible for the following:

- Sourcing technical spares/materials/services and bought out items which meet the requirements in terms of manufacturing specifications, quality, price and delivery lead time.

Monthly Package: TCTC R15 000.00 - R17 000.00

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**
- Manage the critical spares
- Manage consignment stock and controls
- Action of obsolete part removal from consumable stores
- Price increase negotiations for indirect materials
- Ascertain required delivery for items and align PO delivery to required delivery
- Pursuing new/and or alternative sources to improve reliability of supplies, improve
- quality of products, shorten delivery lead times and reduce costs
- Objective selection of Supplier base for all current and future parts
- Management of Syspro
- Create new part numbers for Syspro
- Generating purchasing orders on Syspro
- Budgetary control
- Control and file all task justification
- Liaise with the Finance Department to close out all queries when applicable related to indirect materials
- Maintaining and developing good supplier relations, establishment of working partnerships supported by good ethical relations with supplier
- Responsible for stock take
- Stock variance report
- Issue spares and consumables
- Generating Art department and all PPE purchase orders and attend to queries

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Matric, and Certificate/Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain
- Minimum 5 years in Purchasing, Supply Chain and dealing with Transport and Clearing agents.
- SYSPRO knowledge as an advantage.

- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and in a team without constant supervision
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
