Content Writer, Commerce

You'll work with the SME SA Editor and the Publisher to develop and execute our reviews and commerce strategy and help define the mix of content, the voice, and tone of our Reviews and How-to content. You will also work with our platform manager to set affiliate commerce goals that can achieved while upholding our editorial standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Write and update in-depth reviews of products and services for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
- Create long-form guides and eBooks for the SME audience.
- Recommend the best SMB-related products and services to readers.
- Research to gather general human sentiment about SMB products and services.
- Manage and create content for commerce and affiliate sections of SME SA, including newsletters, marketing copy, and guides.
- Optimize and update published articles regularly to ensure the content remains accurate, timely, and competitive in search engine results pages.

Salary is R15- R20k p/m.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Job Qualifications**:

- I have two to three years of professional writing experience in ICT or B2B publishing.
- General understanding of commerce editorial KPIs (conversion rate, etc.).
- A degree in communications or marketing is advantageous.
- Have a creative vision for the future of Reviews and Commerce in South Africa.
- Basic experience reviewing products and editing product reviews
- Well-versed in SEO best writing practices.
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality original work.
- Nimble and willing to test and iterate.
- Ability to accept constructive feedback and evolve your work.

Salary is R15- R20k p/m.
