Group Reporting Manager

Excellence in nurturing our people and their passions is foundational to our success as a business. **The Role** We seek a dynamic and motivated accounting professional to join the finance team at MFS Africa. The Reporting Manager will be responsible for the reporting function for all Group companies, including preparing management accounts, investor reporting, cost center reporting and analysis, and other financial reports needed for the group. They will work with finance and other departments to ensure data integrity and improve automation and usefulness of reports and develop new reports as needed. This position is based in Johannesburg and will report to the Group Financial Controller. **You will be a good fit if you are / have**: - Demonstrated organization and time management skills - Strong analytical and problems solving skills - Achievement orientated and results driven - Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with limited supervision - Ability to communicate effectively to both internal and external stakeholders at all levels - Demonstrated ability to work independently - High attention to detail - Proficient in MS Office Suite **Duties and Responsibilities**: - Prepare reporting, including: - Completing consolidations and preparation of group management accounts - Margin Analysis - Budget comparison and reporting - Preparation of BU monthly reports, including revenue drivers and margins - Ensure integrity and consistency of data underlying reporting - Drive efficiency/automation of reporting and timeliness/availability of reports - Improve/develop reports that will be useful for the business in driving informed decision making - Financial reporting to shareholders, directors, regulators and any other authorised parties on an appropriate and regular basis - Assist with implementing quarterly reforecasting and annual budget - After contract period, take over direct management of some accounting/analyst staff - Other adhoc projects and/or support as needed by Financial Controller - Chartered Accountant (South Africa), Economics Degree or similar - At least 5 years’ post qualification experience in a similar role **Why work for us**: - We are the cutting edge of fintech in Africa - Ranked by Fast Company as Second Most Innovative Company in Africa - Attractive package including flexible benefits and competitive remuneration - Diverse, inclusive, gender-balanced company culture representing >28 nationalities and speaking >20 languages - Massive growth potential - We operate a flexible remote working and unlimited leave policy - We solve relevant problems for Africa and the world to create access for the millions of users who also believe in what we do
