Intercare Hazeldean Day Hospital (Pty) Ltd situated in Pretoria East, seeks to recruit an experienced Billing Clerk. The purpose of the position is to provide professional customer service by facilitating the patient booking process, and ensuring billing is done timeously and accurately.

**CRITICAL OUTPUTS**
- Accurate capturing of ward, theatre and gas stock.
- Ensure that authorisation documents are correct.
- Verify with medical aid if account received, how much was paid and when.
- Do billing within eight hours after discharge.
- Capture charge sheets accurately within 24-hour time frame and update as required.
- Assist with cyclic and annual stock counts.
- Oversee daily stock ordering by ensuring adequate minimum stock levels, compiling internal purchase orders, receiving stock and management of consignment stock.
- Assist with procurement of stock and equipment where required.
- Maintain linen counts and oversee laundry activity for unit.
- Ordering, receiving and controlling of stationery, consumables and printing stock.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum Required: Grade 12
- Previous medical billing experience preferable
- High level of accuracy and ability to work under pressure
- Computer proficiency (MS Office)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good communication skills
- AS400 knowledge advantageous
