Machine Setter

**Our Maitland Production Department is currently looking for a vibrant, honest, reliable, and motivated individual to join their team.**

Purpose:

- Set up new automated cartoners when packaging format changes are done on the line
- Troubleshooting issues on the machine

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform machine set-up activities during job changeovers on the automated cartoning machines as well as other packing line equipment.
- Maintaining and improving machine efficiencies while ensuring waste is minimized. - Machine problem solving and supporting the operating staff as required.
- Carrying out regular inspections of equipment, together with general housekeeping and regular cleaning of the machines and work area.
- Completing basic routine machine maintenance activities.
- Communicating at shift changeover.
- Completing records related to setting up of machines at job changeovers.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Grade 12 with work experience in a mechanical or machine setting field. A formal technical qualification is preferable.
- A team player who is flexible, proactive, self-motivated, and able to prioritise tasks.
- Excellent mechanical problem-solving skills and experience.
- Ability to work in a busy production environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be flexible to work overtime.
- Must be willing and able to work shifts.
- Work in a safe manner whilst following relevant company procedures.
