Dental Nurse

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare patients for dental procedures and make them comfortable in the dental chair
- Hand instruments to the dentist during procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Manage inventory and restock dental supplies as needed
- Schedule appointments and assist with administrative tasks when necessary
- Ensure the operatory is clean and organized at all times
- Comply with all health and safety regulations

**Qualifications**:

- High school with diploma or equivalent in Dental Assisting
- Completion of a Dental Assistant program or equivalent training
- Current registration with HPCSA
- Proven experience as a dental assistant is preferred
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for patient care

**Working Conditions**:

- Clinical environment with frequent interaction with patients
- May require standing for long periods and wearing personal protective equipment

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
