The Craft & Design Institute (CDI) requires the services of a junior data analyst to report to its monitoring and evaluation practitioner. You will be working in a programme delivery support unit that is managing a portfolio of 6 job creation projects. The incumbent must reside in Cape Town.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
Design data collection frameworks for each of the projects in the portfolio
Develop project-specific monitoring implementation plans with key milestones and deliverables
Data collection and analysis aligned to project-specific M&E frameworks
Develop presentations of this data in user-friendly formats that show impact across project/s using graphs, infographics and other methods to visualise data
Translate findings and insights into stories that are accessible to non-technical audiences
Support the writing and preparation of reports including summaries of insights, findings and recommendations
Work with and mentor other administrative and programme team members on the value of data analysis and monitoring and evaluation to improve project implementation and impact
In addition you will play a lead role in managing and championing the current organisational member database and propose activations to improve member interaction and use of this valuable data collection and management resource.

**You will need**:
A degree in a quantitative data field (physics, maths, statistics, finance, economics, computer science, etc.). A qualification in M&E will be an advantage as will work experience in this field
To be passionate about statistics and storytelling of this data, have proven technical writing skills and analytical and problem-solving skills as well as report-writing and data visualisation skills.
To be able to set and meet deadlines, work in high-pressure environments and pay attention to detail.
