A mining Company in Gauteng has a Contract Vacancy for a Junior Project Manager in the Burgersfort Area.

- Proven working experience in project management; 3-5 years minimum
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II or certification is a plus
- Creativity, problem solving skills and a good disposition
- Ability to work under pressure, lead, motivate and direct project team membersmaps
- Relevant Tertiary Education
- Self-starter, self-motivated and ability to work without constant supervision
- Out of the box and quick thinker to resolve challenges with available resources as and when required
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for successful execution of the project/s
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop and/or manage a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Report and escalate risks, issues, and slippages to management as needed
- Establish and maintain relationship with the client and all stakeholders, including third parties/vendors
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
- Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Monitor budgetary objectives and request adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as team members and stakeholders
- Use and continually develop leadership skills
- Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Organisational ability to schedule correct resources for related training and hand holding sessions
- Closely manage timelines and track progress on a short interval basis to ensure in-time delivery and/or escalation of slippage immediately when it happens
- Communicate project related information, progress, processes and changes to all project stakeholders
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with mining and mining concepts, practices, and procedures and Mining Technical Systems, preferably within the mining/underground operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- IT and ICT Delivery and/or OT Systems Experience
- Experience with complex core operating platform technologies
- Leadership of multi-disciplined/skilled delivery teams
- Executive level Stakeholder Management
- Developing and Tracking Budgets
- Coaching, Supervision and People management
- Process Improvement, Planning and Performance Management
- Strong organisational skills, self, others, and tasks
- Ability and willingness to work unsupervised at remote mines for long periods of time
