Are you ready to take your procurement skills to the next level? You’re someone that’s reliable, can be trusted to always find the best price and ensure products are delivered timeously. This is a newly created role that has come about from growth in the business.

**What you’ll be doing**

You’ll be required to support the procurement in the purchase of goods, materials and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, considering price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.

You’ll craft impeccable purchase orders, tackle requisitions and redefine specs for non-complex items. You’ll take written and phone based quotes, expedite deliveries, seek sources of supply, handle stock control and maintain relationships with existing suppliers.

**Where you’ll be doing it**

This is a Monday to Friday role that is in office in Cato Ridge for a food manufacturing business. The hours are 07:30 to 16:30. There is a staff compliment of around 300 employees. The company is growing and invested in their employees.

**What you’ll need**

The non-negotiables for this role are that you need to be fluent in Afrikaans, must be experienced with Syspro and have your own car and driver’s license. You’ll also need to have a BCom Supply Chain / Procurement or CIPS Qualification with at least 5 years buying experience, of which you’ll need to have food manufacturing experience as you’ll need to have food safety knowledge - preferably FSSC 22000 or ISO 20 000 experience.

We’re looking for someone that is young, passionate about procurement and has a knack for attention to detail, sharp sourcing and negotiation skills to secure the best deals and operates with a sense of urgency to expedite success. You have strong follow up and follow through and excellent relationship building and networking capabilities.
